Hailey Foresman was presented with the Kelsey’s Dream Volunteer of the Year Award at the 10th Annual Kelsey’s Fall Festival. Foresman is a sophomore at Mifflinburg High School and a member of the soccer and softball teams. Foreseman was chosen as the recipient of this award due to her dedication to Kelsey’s Dream during her summer vacation this year. Two days a week she would spend her time in the office contacting hospitals to receive Kelsey’s Dream’s unique play-therapy-toy, Hopper the Cancer Crusher. Foreseman was able to coordinate multiple orders and even add new hospitals to the growing list of places that the toy has hopped. Hopper the Cancer Crusher has now made its way to 10,000 children in hospitals all over the country including Alaska and Hawaii. In addition to her work with Hopper the Cancer Crusher, Hailey Foresman made deliveries for the Snack Pack Program with Kelsey’s Dream founder Kylie Kuhns. The Snack Pack Program allows local hospitals to provide children with free snacks while they go through treatments. Foresman and Kuhns also dedicated their time to delivering handmade blankets to the director of Camp Dost. This camp allows children who have been diagnosed with cancer the opportunity to have a summer camp experience. All Camp Dost campers receive a free handmade blanket during their time away from home. Kelsey’s Dream is so proud of Hailey Foresman and thankful for her hard work this year to make the organization the best that it can be.
